Sky Diving!! CRAZY!

Christine and Taylor purchased a jump from Groupons a year ago and finally got around to doing it.  We had a hard time locating the place in Lake Wales.  When we finally found it, it looked a little sketchy.  Christine was almost ready to bale when signing the release form.  You don't really want to read that partaking in this risky sport can result in death!  The small plane takes off and heads to 10,000 feet before you jump!  Yikes, that is pretty darn high!  They had a great time and loved it!

Yes!  We are alive!!!
Sonic the Hedgehog
Kirby has a new hedgehog. Isn't he adorable? They are nocturnal so we don't get to see to much of him! He spends most of the night running, and running, and running, on his wheel.

Tim Turns 50!!(I am a month late posting)
Tim didn't want to do anything special for his 50th Birthday! He was feeling a little old, I mean sad! Our dearest friends offered to cook him dinner for his birthday! She beats Martha Stewart and Paula Dean. She is the best cook. She invited my parents over also. We had a wonder time.
Thank you so much Susan and Peyton!
You are the best!

I made my version of Too Jays, Banana Dream cake. If I must tell, it was just as good!

Halloween 2011

Halloween 2011
I don't know what got into me this year, but I had a great time making decorations and decorating for Halloween. I haven't done a thing in years but really got into it this year. For the first time ever, I forgot to buy pumpkins to carve! Yikes!!! We ended up eating spaghetti squash on Halloween and Kirby came up with the idea to carve it. He drew the line when I told him I was going to put them at the front door for Jack-O-Lanterns.

I call these our RED NECK PUMPKINS!
I rounded up all the empty glass jars I could find and printed eerie labels of the Internet. I filled them with items that represented the label. As much as the kids made fun of me, they made sure to tell all the neighbors!

I found a couple of cool spell book designs online and made them. I picked up the books at the local Goodwill. They came out really cool!

The family Room!
I can finally clean those cob webs off the ceiling!

I bought this candle holder at Michaels. I made candles from toilet paper rolls and electronic tea lights.

Until next Halloween....BOO!

Wednesday

Munich-Oktoberfest

Tim and I traveled to Oktoberfest again this year! You would think that we are big drinkers since we have gone the past few years, but really we aren't! I have finally figured out that if I drink "Radlers" (1/2 lemonade, 1/2 beer), I can last survive the night. Plus for someone that doesn't care for beer it's great.

This is one of the many beer tents. In the late afternoon everyone is calm but by sundown everyone is standing on the benches prosting and singing. It is really something to see. Someone asked me if we have an equivalent in the United States and the closest thing I could come up with is Mardi Gras, and I don't even know if that is comparable.

When I think of a German this is the image I get. What a great outfit. Tim and I thought it was really neat that so many of the Germans dress in the traditional outfits. I would say that about 80% are dressed up, even the teenagers and young adults. Next year you may see Tim in lederhosen!

Friday

I am not the Maid!

I got tired of constantly finding dishes in the kitchen sink when the dishwasher was empty. I decided to cut this saying out of vinyl and attach it to the sink as a reminder. I came home from work to find the sink full! Tim said Shaughn took all the dishes out of the dishwasher and put them there to get back at me! I am hoping my little message works! The next sign is going to be on the toilet lid that reads, "Aim for the inside and flush please!"

Monday

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I wouldn't let the boys open their Valentine's bags unless they let me take their picture. Of course they let me...and with SMILES! They both got candy, headphones for the computer and $10.

The Happy Couple

The Table

Our friend Susan, aka Martha Stewart, hosted the wedding at her house. She planned everything but the food. It was unbelievable. Pam and Don were thrilled!

The Cake

I did the cake. It was chocolate with whisky cherry filling and cream cheese frosting. I have to say it tasted pretty good! The bride and groom were happy~

The Wedding Family and Friends

There were 30 people at the wedding.

The Girls!

Best of luck to Don and Pam!

Mets-Fall Season 2010

The Mets finished of the season winning 6 games, losing 3 and tying one. All the boys on the team were great and they had a lot of fun this season. I love this picture of Kirb and Anders. Kirby looks so little!! It is hard to believe that both of these boys are in 9th grade. I may have to invest in a stretcher soon!

Monday

Hunting 2010-South Dakota

Tim, Kirby, Gramps and Clark did the mens annual hunting weekend again this year! The guys have been doing this for about 19 years now! I think Tim has only missed one year due to Delta recurrent training. Kirby loves this trip and looks foward to it every year while Shaughn quit years ago. It's not his thing.

Notice Tim's shoes?

They fell apart the first day so he ended up duct taping them!
