Halloween 2012

For some reason Halloween is my favorite holiday to decorate for.. I bought this life size skeleton this year and love it!!!!
Taylor posted this sign on Bones.. I love it!!

This year I have dragonfly, snake skin and teeth to add to the collection!
 These will soon become snowman!

Chipotle had $2 burritos if you were dressed up.  We all dressed up and headed there for a cheap dinner, but found the line wayyyyy to long!  So we decided to go next door to Steak and Shake.

We all took off our costumes except Kirby who only had underwear on under his..  He looked so funny and got so many stares and laughs!

Kirby and  Allison heading out for Trick or Treating

Happy 70th Opa!!!

 Happy 70th Birthday Opa!!!

Opa turned 70 today!
The kids and I put together a little party for him.
We made lemon meringue cupcakes, which were delicious!
We made a silly hat and birthday banner to hand.
We ordered pizza from Papa Johns.

Seventy always seemed so old, but the closer I get to it, the younger it seems!

Wednesday

Oktoberfest-2012

Oktoberfest 2012
Tim and I traveled to Munchen again for Oktoberfest. It was the fourth time we went in the past five years and we have our reservations for next year already.
We flew in to Munich with Hans our favorite flight attendant.  He is so much fun to go with!

Tim and I purchased Lederhosen and a Dirndal on our last day!
We can't wait to wear them next year!

The German Band
They sang Sweet Home Alabama and We are the Champions in English.  We decided they should have retired years ago!  They were pretty bad but it was still a blast!

Our pooped waitress, patiently waiting for the tent to clear out.
The tent at closing. It closed at 11 pm which is pretty early by American standards.  With that said, this was the first time Tim and I lasted that long!

Tim and I went to the Hit grocery store everyday.  I love their vegetable section.

 Look at these tomatoes!!

Tim and I walked through English Park one afternoon.  We totaled over 11 miles of walking this day.  I racked up over 30,000 steps on my pedometer.  We saw some odd things on that walk!
This was a spot on the river where a damn is built so the kids can surf on it.  It was really neat to watch. It was a beautiful day and lots were surfing and watching!

I had never seen a red squirrel before.  It was much prettier in person.
Now for the most disturbing thing we saw!!!!!

Tim said their was naked man in the park that the flight crews refer to as donkey!  We came across him and another naked man, along with two women that were topless!!!
 Yikes!!
Not to worry, I wasn't that close!  I used my zoom lens!

Tuesday

Baxter

Baxter!
Shaughn got a new puppy that was abandoned under an RV.  We think it is about four weeks old.  Allison picked it up and cared for it while we were in Cancun and had it waiting for Shaughn when he got home.  It is adorable! He thinks is a collie-lab mix.  We shall see.

Baxter drinking his puppy formula!

He was so tired he feel asleep in the middle of eating.

Saturday

Wedding Room

Guest Room
Shaughn finally got moved out and I was quick to get his room redone.  I loved the look of Christine's wedding, burlap, mason jars and sunflowers so I went with that theme.  I had so much stuff along with things I had made for the wedding that I incorporated them into the new makeover.  The best part is that I only had to buy two things for the whole room, the curtains and one of the cubbie things.  I was super excited about the curtains, they look just like burlap!!! The desk I found at Goodwill about 6 months ago for $40!  I didn't know what I was ever going to do with it but loved it.  We ended up using it as a beverage center at the wedding.  I still have a few little touches I need to do, but overall I am very pleased.  I don't particularly like the futon but don't want a bed in here.

Friday

 New Bunnies!
Our beloved Tubbie passed away last month expectantly so I was on the hunt to replace him.  I found two sites for bunnies.  One was a rabbitary in Tampa and one a few miles away.  I contacted both and neither had bunnies!!!!  A week later I was contacted by both, they just had babies born. Of course we had to get both.  The are both 5 weeks old, born four days apart, and I picked both up the same day!  Both sellers kept me updated with pictures weekly.

Lulu and Lilly
Lulu looks gray here but turned out brown.  She is so friendly.  She weighs 578 grams and Lilly the black and white one weighs 345grams.  They should grow up to weigh 3 to 4.5 lbs. The are Dwarf Holland Lops.
One week old

They are so friendly.  The love to be held!

They have bonded together nicely!

Saturday

New College Graduation

Christine graduated from New College last night.
On the way to Sarasota we hit this brush fire down by Disney.  After we got through they closed I-4 for two hours!

We hit Christine and Taylor's favorite Chinese restaurant in Sarasota, Ms. Chengs, before graduation.  Yum Yum!
She actually finished in January but the college only holds the ceremony once a year.  While a lot of kids take longer than four years to finish, it only took her 3.5 years.  What a smart one she is.  The New College graduation is an odd one.  They don't wear the traditional cap and gown, but whatever they want.  Some went barefoot, one girl brought her dog on stage, donned in a cap and gown, as she walked across the stage.  From what we were told, this year was pretty toned down.  They had naked painted bodies last year!

Christine is looking to see that she actually has a seat.  At practice it was all messed up.. Is she a McCormick or a Jamrok?

This was my second favorite, and most original!
Christine's 1st year roommate, Gina, wearing her wedding gown.

Who ever thought Christine would be the normal one?

My favorite!  He even had beer in his mug!  Only at New College!

I know, it looks more like Halloween than Graduation!

And....
Drum Roll Please..........
Super Big Gulp even made it to graduation!
Mr. and Mrs Jamrok
