Happy New Year!
The kids in Atlanata waiting to see if they were getting on the flight. The joys of standby. The flight was WIDE open but we weren't sure if we were all going to get on because of weight restrictions. Tim made a few calls and we got on, plus all in First Class... yes the joys of standby!
Pam and Don came down and we got together for dinner at Susan's house. What a great evening. Tim and I had to make it short because we had to get up at 2 am for our ski trip.
I started packing for our ski trip...
Let's just call this "liquid courage"!
BAD DOG!!!! Baxter has stepped up from tearing apart his toys to pillows!
Joan and I took our mom's to lunch today! They had us in stitches! Joan was in tears and I was laughing so hard I am finally smiling in a photo!
Just finished up one of Joan's dishtowels for Xmas!
I had Christmas dinner at my house with Oma and Opa and the Lea family! We all had a wonderful time!
Aunt Kelly held Christmas Eve at her house. This year we swapped names. My favorite gift was what Christine put together for Liam.
Susan hosted a wonder evening for our girl's get together! It's always great to see them!
I got some baking done today! These were just an afterthought.
Radishes from the garden! I got the seeds from my fellow gardener and neighbor, Carol. The radishes were great and my turtle at the tops!
Collard greens from the garden.. Boy were they delish!!
You can't tell what this picture is, but when I got up this morning Scruffy was barking in his cage. He was inside the pillow case with only his head sticking out of a hole. He couldn't figure out how to get out!
The turkeys are back....just in time for Christmas dinner!
I made a major dent in the Christmas shopping today!
Lulu hiding under the stool!
My girlfriend Susan was having a office party for her son and Tim stopped by to visit but had to bring his Big Gulp cup. She got a chuckle about his cup sitting on the entry way table amoung her beautitflly decorated table..You can dress him up, but can't take him out....at least not without his Double Big Gulp cup
I forgot to take a picture today except for the one I am doing for my Elf on a Shelf post on the main page. OOPS! The bigger elf in this photo I bought on Amazon thinking I was buying the smaller one. I think she is much cuter but not as easy to hide. Not that anyone is looking for it!!!
I signed up for this menu service.. Using a Groupon, it cost me $24 for the year. Each week, I am sent a menu for five meals, a shopping list with no more that 20 ingredients and costing no more than $70 a week. It includes all of the recipes, prep work and calorie count.
I am into week three and love it! No more wondering what is for dinner.
This wasp nest was on the underhand on my craft room and finally fell down. It was huge. I don't know what happened to the wasps.
This is Baxter's favorite toy. It used to be a figure 8 tightly would chew toy but he has completely shredded it to pieces as he does all of his toys.
Kirby and Tim went fishing in the River and caught this huge catfish. It weighed 8 lbs. Christine came over a took it home. She made catfish tacos with it..
Just a shot of one of the many cotton fields we saw on the drive home.
We joined Todd and Ileana on their sailboat for soup and hot chocolate and to watch the annual Flotilla. TIm flew into Wilmington where we picked him up. We had a great time!
Kirby got hungry so he decided to chomp on a lego turkey piece.. The next morning we made him pancakes and sprinkled lego pieces on for him..
The clan! Todd and Ileana, Susie, Shaughn, Kirby, Joy, Christine, Taylor, KJ
Headed up to Ocean Isle, NC to spend Thanksgiving with the Jamroks at their beach house. We took the "shaggin waggin" because it held us all.
Hmmmm! They don't feed me around here..
The kids cmae over to watch a movie and played Monopoly instead. They knew they were in trouble when them knew which property the first roll was just by the number on the dice. Will was playing Strip Monopoly, and everyone ended up walking home, leaving Christine behind to finish playing with her dad. And this is why mom doesn't play Monopoly with a McCormick!
We stopped the Pet Store while at the bike shop. I hate seeing all of the dogs in those tiny cages. I thought this one was so cute with his little tongue sticking out.
We went to Longhorn tonight with Oma, Opa, Byron and Tracey. Kirby loves his Uncle Byron.
Kirby is learning to make wine! Actually he forgot these grapes in his backpack for a few days and they started fermenting!
I have the girl's Christmas gifts purchased and wrapped! Normally I am doing it last minute.
I had to put a small fence around the garden to keep the dogs out. Baxter could jump over it very easily if he wanted but hasn't yet.
I was checking Tim's flight.. Where does this plane think its going?
I fertilized the garden with this awful smelling fish emulsion that looked like diarrhea and smelt even worse! I left the bottle in the bucket and Baxter decided that it smelt so bad he needed to bury it with dirt!
Scruffy giving Shiloh some love!! I really do think Scruffy thinks Shiloh is his girlfriend..
